24 Hours in Brampton
Hello my loves!
For those of you who have been keeping up with my second channel & have watched my vlog on this lil trip, you’ll already be pretty familiar with a lot of what I’m about to show you! But for those of you who haven’t, I thought I would share with you some of the photos that myself & my boyfriend Kane took on our recent trip to Cumbria.
Admittedly it was very spontaneous, but we decided to book a small log cabin for the night last week & take Kane’s pup Toffee along with us on a little adventure. The cabin itself we found on airbnb – it was super cozy & in a very secluded area of Brampton which was exactly what we were hoping for. Alex was a wonderful host! Very welcoming, made sure to pop down in the afternoon after we’d arrived to check in & make sure we’d found everything okay.
You have pretty much everything you need for a short stay – bed, seating area, wood burner, camping stove, kettle, cutlery, drinking water, parking, you get the idea. There’s a portaloo by the entrance but no place to shower unfortunately, which is the only thing that would hold me back from wanting to stay longer than a couple of nights! All in all, a lovely place to stay for some peace & quiet. Next to the cabin is a little stream, which Toffee especially loved. There’s also no TV/wifi/phone service but that definitely helped with the peace & quiet! We brought some board games & a couple of films on that laptop which was more than enough to keep us entertained for the evening.
As for Brampton, we had a little drive around in the evening when we began to get peckish and didn’t really find a whole lot! I’m pretty sure we ended up in the town centre where we grabbed some fish & chips, picked up some milk to make a cuppa, and had a nosey round the shops. We spent the majority of the evening at the lodge. Kane got the fire going outside & Toffee had tons of space to run around! Definitely a perfect place for pups.
If the place wasn’t cosy enough when we first arrived, it certainly was by the evening! The fire keeps the cabin so warm & I love the way the bed is positioned in the corner with a curtain that can be pulled across to make it seem almost like a separate room.
To sum everything up, we absolutely loved our time in Brampton & at Cairnbeck log cabin and will definitely be making a trip back at some point! For any of you looking for somewhere calm & relaxing to stay, this little place would definitely be on my list of recommendations. Airbnb is perfect for planning mini getaways & we’ve actually already planned our next one for next week, again in Cumbria! Fingers crossed it’ll be just as lovely as this 😉
